Wintercamp is an extremely busy event and there are limited parking facilities for large vehicles. Therefore it is extremely important that coach arrivals follow the following specific procedures. Please note we do not have the space to park coaches for the duration of the weekend. Please contact us should this be a problem.

1. One week before…
   • Please contact Gilwell Park on 020 8498 5414 and advise us of your expected arrival time – this helps us plan our space requirements and ensures that your arrival is as smooth as possible.
2. Routes
   • Gilwell Park is situated approximately 5 minutes from Chingford and 10 minutes from the M25 J26. However, there is a specific route that MUST be followed for large vehicles as all other routes are unsuitable and could lead to damage to your coach or surrounding property. The route is shown on the map in the Information for Coach Drivers Pack. Gilwell Park is not accessible from Daws Hill.
3. 15 minutes before arrival…
   • Before you arrive on site, it would help us if you could advise us when you are approximately 15 minutes away.  For those arriving via the M25, please ask your group leader to call where possible at either J25 or J27. At this point they may be given specific arrival instructions which they should relay to you. It may be a requirement to hold the coach at our off-site parking facility until there is space available on-site for your arrival. 15 minute arrival notice should be given on 020 8498 5414.
4. On arrival…
   • On arrival you will be given specific instructions by the traffic management team, please note the speed limit is 5mph. The traffic management team will arrange for you to park in a suitable location where it is both safe for you to disembark your passengers, and for their equipment to be unloaded and conveyed to their camping location.
